A delightful 17th century two-bedroom holiday cottage – with attractive, self-contained garden and patio – situated in the picturesque village of Crantock, Cornwall.
This attractive cottage has tremendous character, a welcoming atmosphere and is an ideal base from which to explore the South West peninsula. The cottage itself was constructed from local stone in the early 17th century, but has recently been extended to provide comfortable holiday accommodation for up to five people.
With its original Cornish slate ingle-nook fireplace and clome oven, beamed ceiling and stable door, the main sitting room is full of character.
The galley style kitchen comprises fitted units, ceramic hob/cooker, microwave oven, fridge and a good range of kitchen utensils and crockery. The holiday cottage also benefits from a large sitting/dining room, leading to a secluded patio area overlooking the attractive garden.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms – one with a double bed, the other with twin beds. An additional guest bed is also available if required. Bed linen and towels are supplied weekly. Hot water and storage heating are included in the tariff. The bathroom has a modern shower cubicle with electric shower (no bath), hand-wash basin and toilet.
Access to the cottage is via steps at both the front and rear private entrances. A car parking space and lock-up garage are provided for the sole use of guests.
The elevated position gives splendid views over open countryside, and the garden, with its small orchard and numerous shrubs, is a haven for birds.
